Chocolate Hills The Sign of Real Wonder – Did you Know

It is practically difficult to accept that these knolls are natural and not man-made, owing to their symmetry and consistency. With that accuracy, it just makes you think over with reference to how they were formed. What natural event must have made such breathtaking and even formations of rocks, which look like Hershey's kisses spread over a humongous region of area?



In ecological terms, such a hill is recognized as a geomorphologic structure, also called a mogote. For numerous years, geologists have tried to translate the secret of the shaping of these mounts. A large portion of these speculations say, that these rises were shaped in light of a major geologic movement, when coral deposits ascended from the ocean. The arch like shape was framed because of the disintegration of these deposits by wind breakup, through many years.




Every hill is known as a 'karst', which comprises of limestone, and is covered by topsoil and grass. This topographic karst is framed when layers of dissolved bedrock which, thus, is limestone is erosion by a methodology called dissolution. The strange state of the mountains is likewise due to the disintegration of the encompassing farmland, that has accelerated the shaping of underground springs, waterways, and caverns.
